Cremona will be the protagonist of a new international docufilm dedicated to Antonio Stradivari. It is an international production, directed by Peter Rebeiz, based on the biography “Stradivari. The story of a legend” by Alessandra Barabaschi, recently published.
As CremonaOggi reports, a significant part of the shooting will be shot in Cremona, the city of Stradivari. The docufilm will focus on the life of the most renowned luthier in history through the history of two instruments in particular, two violas made over 60 years apart from each other: the oldest, the 'Mahler', and the last viola built. in Stradivari's workshop, the 'Gibson'.
The protagonists of the shoot, which will also be shot in Venice, Paris, and New York, will also be two musicians such as Antoine Tamestit, who has been playing the 'Mahler' viola for some time and Walter Küssner, violist of the Berlin Philharmonic.
