Giuseppe Gibboni: 'After the victory in the Paganini Competition, I am aiming at a Stradivarius'

"After the victory in the Paganini Competition, I am aiming at the Ferrari of violin making: a Stradivarius." Giuseppe Gibboni, 20-year-old, will probably be playing soon with a masterpiece of Great Master of Cremonese lutherie. A dream for every violinist.

Giuseppe Gibboni, who won the Paganini Competition last year, talked about his future in an interview published by Corriere.it, the website of the main Italian newspaper.

"I don't want to rush through the stages, I want to choose and prepare the concerts in the best possible way. I don't want to look presumptuous, but I keep dreaming and if you ask me what I dream about... well, who wouldn't want to play at La Scala, or with the Berliner or the Wiener Philharmoniker?"

Gibboni has another dream: "After the victory of the Paganini Competition, I am aiming at the Ferrari of violin making: we are completing the bureaucratic process, soon a foundation should provide me with a Stradivarius".

Good luck for your bright future, Giuseppe!
