The Italian composer and musician Ennio Morricone passed away tonight in Roma, at the age of 91, following a fall. Morricone is the author of some of the most famous scores for the cinema, including Once Upon a Time in America, Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight. A few days ago he broke his femur.
Morricone was one of the great ambassadors of Italian culture in the world, an artist that was appreciated and renowned everywhere. During his career, he worked with John Carpenter, Brian De Palma, Oliver Stone and Quentin Tarantino, and most of all Sergio Leone. In his career, he won two Academy Awards.
